Class types

Mindful Yoga

In this class we mindfully flow through gentle poses in a slower pace. It's an alignment conscious practice, paying special attention to elongation, spinal flows, breath awareness and pranayama (breathing techniques) incorporated into movement. Finished off with a few gentle yin poses and a nice relaxing Savasana.

Suitable for beginners and more experienced yogis alike. â€‹

Perfect for releasing the tightness that comes from modern life—be it sitting, standing or if your body just feels like it's been on 'pause' for too long. Let's press 'play' and rediscover your free flowing mind and body.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a practice based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) working with the elements of the world around us, learning from the wisdom of nature and targeting the fascia / connective tissues to release blockages and tension held. This class is a beautiful way of tension release that fosters a healthier flow of prana / Qi (life force) as well as a lighter mind and heart.

Poses are held for 2-7 mins each and no, don't think about holding Warriors or Lunges while you shake and sweat, instead these are mostly seated and lying poses deeply stretching the targeted areas.

Dori incorporates her yin studies and yin poses into most of her classes, so you can have a taster quite easily.

Yoga & Sound

This is a meditative class incorporating gentle yoga flows, yin and restorative poses, followed by a deeply relaxing sound bath while you lay down and switch off.

No yoga experience is required.

Think of it as a gentle mindful slow flow and stretch class accompanied by a soothing sound bath and candle light.

Please bring a pair of socks, your fav blanket or towel, a cushion and an eye pillow / eye mask if you have or any other cuddlies you'd like. Otherwise we have some blankets and eye pillows available for your use.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a deeply meditative practice, truly focusing on relaxation, softening, letting go and just being.

Nothing else. Just you on your mat in the most comfortable poses possible.

Gentle pranayama and other relaxation-fostering practices may be incorporated, imagine a guided yoga nidra (yogic "sleep") by Dori's soothing voice taking you through calming visualisations, body scans or targeted tension / muscle release practices.

We use lots of yoga props and hold poses for 8-15 mins each.

Please bring a pair of socks, your fav blanket or towel, a cushion and an eye pillow / eye mask (a soft scarf is also perfect!) if you have or any other cuddlies or yoga props you'd like. We will be using blocks, bolsters, blankets, cushions and straps.
